Dinner + Family = Smurftastic!

Monday Blues. Tell me about it. It comes to a point that some Monday was bluer than any smurf can be. But on Monday, Sis came up to KL before shooting off to Viet and we had family dinner at my Aunt Judy's place. When she told me about the pork ribs that she'd be serving. YOU DO NOT NEED second thoughts when it comes to Pork ribs. It is seriously amazing. With home-made sauce, its real real good. I think cooking runs in the Lim Family. Dad is a good cook with his unconventional methods. Aunt Judy is a much better cook, i would say. Her cakes, rendang, you name it...its simply brilliant.

So when i arrived, dinner had not started. HOORAY. was not late. Was helping out in the kitchen and setting up table. There was salad, baby kailan (cooked by sis), soft shell crab fried rice, fish and of course PORK RIBS. From the 1st glance i knew it wasnt my aunt's usual butcher and sure enough she said it isnt. This has more fatty meat than ribs which her usual butcher keeps it in a "special-request-only-box" where not alot of people knows about it. Food is good as usual and dessert was home-made "gula melaka" jelly with guava and orange peel. It did not end there as we had some Rasberry Red Wine ice cream which i must admit. It was good.
